What Is Pediatric Dentistry?
Dental health is essential for every family member, especially young children. At Galloway Dental Associates, we recommend that parents schedule their child's first visit to a pediatric dentist before their first birthday. After that, it's important to bring your child to the dentist at least twice a year for pediatric dental care, including exams, cleanings, and x-rays. Our goal is to make their visit to our Miami, FL office a fun and comfortable experience, fostering a positive connection with the dentist that can last a lifetime. During their appointment, our skilled team will monitor their teeth development, address any concerns, and provide helpful tips for maintaining good oral health at home. To learn more about pediatric dentistry for your child, contact Galloway Dental Associates and schedule a dental visit with our team.
What Can I Expect During My Child's Visit?
Various concerns can be addressed during a pediatric dental appointment to keep your child's teeth healthy. Typically, the visit includes a thorough exam, professional cleaning, and possibly fluoride treatment to strengthen their growing teeth and enamel. Sealants may also be recommended to protect against tooth decay and cavities. If decay or damage is found, our pediatric dentist will create a treatment plan, which may include procedures like baby root canal therapy or space maintainers. For children experiencing dental anxiety, sedation options are available to make the visit as comfortable as possible. In some cases, orthodontic treatments might be suggested to ensure proper tooth alignment and avoid future dental issues.

Finally, a fantastic dentist!!! Gentle and affordable, they do everything in house from implants to cleanings. Highly recommend!!
I’ve been taking my son to this office since he was 8 w Dr. Prieto who is beyond fantastic. At 24, he and I still come to Galloway Dental. Dr. RamÃrez was great and now Dr. Balboa taken over is also amazing. I was so hesitant to have a crown removed in my front lower, scared tooth would be damaged and never having had Dr. dela Fuente Balboa, I was apprehensive but he did such a wonderful job. So quick and perfect. No damage. Very kind and professional... Entire staff. I’ll continue to come here for dental services.
