Dr. Daniel and Dr. Javier Balboa
Dr. Daniel Balboa and Dr. Javier Balboa are twin brothers with diverse backgrounds in dentistry. Both were born in Cuba in 1990; they moved with their family to Mallorca, Spain, when they were just 10 years old. Their mother, a dentist, and their father, an engineer, opened a dental office more than 20 years ago on the island, where the family continues to reside.
Daniel and Javier grew up in the small town of Son Servera, located northeast of Mallorca. In 2009, the brothers relocated to Madrid, where they both attended dental school, graduating in 2014. Following graduation, they gained valuable experience working as general dentists for three years before deciding to pursue further education in the United States.
Dr. Daniel Balboa's Journey: In 2017, Daniel was accepted into Rutgers University in Newark, NJ, where he completed dental school again, earning his DMD title. After graduating, he moved to Miami to specialize further, obtaining a fellowship and mastership from the American Academy of Implants and Prosthodontics. Over the past four years, Daniel has focused on oral and facial surgery, refining his skills in this specialized field. His diverse experience includes working with various companies before ultimately joining forces with his brother to open their practice.
Dr. Javier Balboa's Path: In 2017, Javier began his advanced studies at the University of Rochester, New York, where he completed a 2-year program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. By 2019, he had undertaken an intensive 1-year program at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, earning a Master's Degree in Science and completing a General Practice Residency, which qualified him to work in a hospital setting. Javier began his endodontics training at the University at Buffalo in 2020. He completed the program in 2022, earning his board certification and becoming a Diplomate of the American Association of Endodontics, the highest possible recognition for an endodontic specialist. Currently, Javier balances his time between working as a faculty member at Nova Southeastern University, where he teaches postgraduate residents in endodontics, and practicing privately.
