The process for getting a non-metal porcelain crown typically involves two appointments. During the first appointment, our dentist in Miami, FL, will prepare the tooth by removing any decay or damage and shaping it to fit the crown. We will take a digital impression of the tooth to avoid any problems with gag reflex and
send it to a dental laboratory where the crown will be fabricated. In the meantime, the patient will wear a temporary crown to protect the tooth. At the second appointment, the temporary crown will be removed, and the
permanent non-metal porcelain crown will be permantently cemented into place.
